      Achieving Excellence Through Connections

Each curricular component reinforces learning comprehension that helps students build connections between letters and higher-level concepts.

      Intuitive, Effective Design

      The Double Line Difference

Our double lines control children’s letter size, spacing, and placement.  Using our double lines promotes legible writing that is easily transferred to other styles of paper.

      • Easy-to-follow double lines for successful writing.
      • Enable children to place letters correctly on any type of paper.
      • Consistent across Learning Without Tears products.

      Print

Students in kindergarten through second grade start by learning letters that begin with a vertical stroke. Students learn the letters in a scaffolded sequence through multisensory lessons that make handwriting mastery fun.

      Cursive

The focus on cursive connections helps students develop speed and fluency quickly as they make progress to cursive mastery. This simple, vertical style helps students in grades three through five easily transition from print to cursive instruction.

      Vertical Cursive

Our simple vertical cursive style eliminates unnecessary flourishes and slanting. It's very similar to the print style and allows students to develop their own personal style of cursive. The days of elaborate, slanted cursive and curlicues are gone!

      Double Lines Teacher Resource

Visually, double lines are simple. They indicate the middle space. Becoming familiar with the middle space helps students place all letters correctly, and they can move on to other styles of paper with ease.

Learn about our double lines and why they work!
