It’s easy! Choose a grade that matches your students’ current grade level. Each grade-level program includes lessons that begin with foundation skills as well as the Skip Jump Into Keyboarding feature for more advanced students who are ready to progress to more challenging practice.
Jump into Keyboarding! comprises the foundation skills for each grade of the curriculum. Some or all of your students may have already mastered the foundation skills. Students in Grades 3–5 will default to skipping the first six weeks of foundation skills and begin in week 7. As the educator, you can enable or disable Skip Jump into Keyboarding at the student or class level.
In Spot Check: Paragraph, students are assessed on using both hands to type a grade-level appropriate paragraph. This Spot Check also measures student accuracy with punctuation and use of the space bar. Students speed is measured in Words Per Minute (WPM) and accuracy is measured by the percentage of correct keys hit.
