What is my PIN/student’s secret code?

Teacher PINs and student access codes are used only for schools using Bulk Import or Manual Setup.

Teacher PINs and student access codes are used only for schools using Bulk Import or Manual Setup. They help students access Learning Without Tears programs when single sign‑on (Clever, ClassLink, or Google SSO) is not being used.

 

Teacher PIN

What it’s used for

·       The teacher PIN is entered on the student login page the first-time students log in on a device. This PIN connects students to their assigned class and content.

·       Once entered, the PIN is saved on that device and does not need to be entered again for future logins, unless a device’s cookie cache is cleared.

Where to find it

·       Log in to +Live Insights® or the Interactive Digital Teaching Tools for Handwriting Without Tears, Get Set for School or Building Writers: Cornerstones

·       The teacher PIN is located in the upper left-hand corner of the screen (above your name).

How can I change my educator PIN?

·       Teacher PIN can only be changed in +Live Insights®. Click your avatar in the upper-left of the screen and select Edit Profile.

·       Change your educator PIN and click Save & Close.

 

Student Access Codes (secret codes)

What they’re used for

·       Student access codes are entered by students on the login page.

·       These codes are needed for every login.

Where to find them

·       Log in to +Live Insights®.

·       Open your class in My Classes & Students to view each student’s access (secret) code.

Can student access codes be changed?

·       Yes. Teachers can reset or regenerate student access codes from the class when needed in Edit Student Details.
