Biography
Charisse is a passionate pediatric and school-based Occupational Therapist from the Philippines, practicing since 2011. A graduate of the University of the Philippines Manila with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, she serves as the Assistant School Head of the Academy for Able Children with Exceptionalities, Inc., a private school recognized by the Department of Education for providing inclusive education to children with diverse needs.

In addition to being a Learning Without Tears® Certified Handwriting Specialist, Charisse holds a variety of certifications that enrich her approach to therapy and education. She is a US-registered Occupational Therapist (OTR®), a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist (CPMT®) specializing in working with children with Autism and Cerebral Palsy, and an OT certified in Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT Australia). She is also trained in Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI®) and is a Reading Interventionist with expertise in the Multisensory Approach to Reading and Spelling, particularly for learners with Dyslexia. Moreover, she has completed the introduction to DIR® and DIRFloortime® and the Learn Play Thrive Approach to Autism, further expanding her toolkit for supporting children on the spectrum.

Though her professional roles are diverse, Charisse's greatest inspiration comes from being a sister to Abrahm, a joyful young adult with Autism. His remarkable journey continues to fuel her dedication to making a difference in the lives of neurodivergent children and families.
