Handwriting Specialist Network

Mariela Ingledew is an EC-12 Certified Literacy Specialist. She holds a B.A. in Bilingual Education/Interdisciplinary Studies from Houston Christian University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Literacy from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has almost 20 years of experience in teaching and leadership. Mariela worked with PK-5th students as a dual language teacher and reading interventionist. She has also worked with PK-5th teachers in a facilitator and curriculum and instruction role at one of Houston’s largest districts. She has been involved in coaching, biliteracy curriculum writing and professional development. She is also a national Presenter and Multilingual Specialist for Learning Without Tears.
