If you had to describe cursive handwriting with just one word, what would that word be? For Handwriting Without Tears by Learning Without Tears, that word is love!

What better time to share our love for cursive handwriting than Valentine’s Day? We are passionate about equipping teachers with the tools to provide fun and engaging cursive instruction for your students. Cursive is a rite of passage for many students. They see it as a grown-up skill and they are eager to master it.

Our simple vertical cursive is very similar to print and allows students to develop their own personal style of cursive. I know you may be saying to yourself, what’s up with this love of cursive in the digital age? Truth is, students spend up to 58 percent of their classroom time writing on paper and many states are including cursive proficiency in their state standards. With the increased daily expectations for students, cursive is a way for students to complete assignments quickly and efficiently.

Do you need another reason to fall in love with cursive? Research has proven that students who use cursive score better on the essay portion of standardized tests than those who print.

Perhaps you love cursive as much as we do or are looking for new ways to bring the love to your daily handwriting instruction methods. We have just what you need to teach, assess, and have loads of fun with cursive. We hope your Valentine’s Day and the remainder of your school year is full of fun, love, and cursive success!
