Her background spans teaching, instructional coaching, and leadership in the early childhood setting. Kate holds a Bachelor's in Psychology and Education, a Master's in Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership.

She served as the lead curriculum developer for Learning Without Tears' Get Set for School Language and Literacy curriculum, which received an AEP Distinguished Achievement Award, and was awarded the Investors Bank Educator of the Year Award.
