Handwriting Specialist Network

Adriana Matallana earned her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Universidad Manuela Beltrán in Bogota, Colombia (confirmed in the USA by WES, World Education Services). She then attended Universidad Militar Nueva Granada where she specialized in teaching. From 1995 until she moved to Omaha in 2011, Adriana worked as a University Professor in OT, and she practiced OT at a children's hospital and the National Police Force in Colombia, as well as private sessions on the side. Since moving to the United States in 2011, Adriana has earned a Sensory Integration certification through The University of Southern California as well as completed the Handwriting Without Tears (pre-k to 5th grade curriculum) certification program for three years. Adriana has a passion to help children improve their handwriting skills to make them more successful in school which will bring more success to their everyday lives.
