This starter pack is an introduction to A–Z for Mat Man and Me, a program that teaches alphabet knowledge through meaningful and engaging stories.

Learning the alphabet—the letters and their sounds—is an exciting adventure! When children begin to understand the sounds that letters represent, they are taking some of their first steps toward reading comprehension.

The letter-sound sequence for the program was designed to help students quickly begin reading.

They’ll start by learning the letters that occur most frequently—such as a, m, and t—giving students a strong foundation they can build on as they explore new words.
