Workshop attendees are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines. Refunds or transfers are available if you're unwell. Policies may vary by location.
Workshop Policies
COVID disclaimer:
While participating in events held or sponsored by Learning Without Tears®, (“LWT”), consistent with CDC guidelines, participants are encouraged to practice hand hygiene, social distancing, and wear face coverings to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19. LWT will have masks, hand sanitizer, and wipes, available upon request. We will be following all state/local guidelines for cities in which our workshops are being held and will communicate with attendees closer to the workshop on any requirements or updates.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK. I acknowledge and understand that by registering for this workshop, some or all of the following will occur during my attendance at the workshop:
- Hands-on activities
- Sitting in small groups
- Movement/singing
On the day of the workshop, if you are not feeling well or have potentially been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you stay home. You can call/email to request a refund or transfer to another workshop.
For in-person workshops, workshop details are emailed 2–3 business days prior to the workshop. For virtual workshops, workshop details are emailed the day prior to the workshop. Email addresses for each attendee are required.
We accept school purchase orders via email and fax. Please reach out to coordinator@LWTears.com if you need a registration form.
If you have any special requests (preferred area, handicap access needs, etc.) please call our office (402.492.2766) to discuss these requests.
For workshops that are eligible for AOTA contact hours, per AOTA guidelines, learning outcomes will be assessed in the form of a short quiz taken prior to receiving certificate.
While we make every effort to conduct professional learning events on the dates and locations advertised, they are subject to change without prior notice. Learning Without Tears reserves the right to change or cancel a professional learning event due to low enrollment or factors beyond our control. We will attempt to notify registrants to limit customer inconvenience, but we are not liable for any expenses incurred.
Learning Without Tears reserves the right to use all media from this workshop (photos, videos, etc.) in print and online advertising. Please notify us in writing if you do not wish to be included. You must be 18 years or older to attend our professional workshops. Children and infants may not be brought to workshops.
You may cancel up to ten days prior for a $35 cancellation fee.

Items sent to APO/FPO military addresses are not subject to sales taxes.
Sales tax charges are based on state and local tax laws and tax rates for the delivery address of your order. Where required, tax will also be applied to the shipping and handling charges. If you return an item for a refund, you will also receive a refund for the taxes you paid for that item. You will not receive a refund for the taxes you paid on the shipping and handling of that item, as the shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable once an item has been shipped.
Online Orders: The appropriate sales tax will automatically be added to your order based on the ship to address. Please note that on-screen order totals reflect estimated tax. The actual charge to your credit card will reflect all applicable taxes calculated at the time your order is shipped.
Order Forms and Purchase Orders: Add the appropriate sales tax based on the delivery address. The amount you enter on your order as Estimated Tax may differ from the amount of sales tax ultimately charged to you. The tax rate applied to your order will generally be the combined state and local rate for the address where your order was shipped. Therefore, the sales tax rate applied to your order may be different for an order shipped to your home address than it would be for the very same order shipped to your work address. If you have any questions about what sales tax amount to add to your order, please contact Customer Service via the customer care form or 888.983.8409. Note that many factors can change between the time you place an order and the time of credit card charge authorization, which could affect the calculation of sales taxes. The amount appearing on your order as Estimated Tax may differ from the sales taxes ultimately charged, as determined by Learning Without Tears' certified professional tax rate service provider.
Tax Exempt Customers: If you are tax exempt, please include your exemption form along with your order. Online orders may upload the tax exempt certificate during checkout. Additionally, you can email your tax exempt certificate to taxdepartment@lwtears.com. Please be sure to note the online order's reference order ID or your purchase order number so that we can locate your order. To ensure compliance with state and local tax laws, all submitted forms and tax exempt information must be received and reviewed by our customer service department before a customer can place an order free of tax.
