What are the shipping and handling costs?
We use a variety of methods to ship our orders. We consider delivery time and order weight in choosing the most efficient carrier.
Shipping and Handling Costs
US Shipping and Handling Rates
- Subtotal under $65: add $6.50
- Subtotal over $65: add 10% of subtotal
AK, HI, APO/FPO, and US Territories Shipping and Handling Rates
- 20% of subtotal ($7.50 minimum)
Canada Shipping and Handling Rates
- 10% of item subtotal; $14 minimum (includes customs, duties, and brokerage fees)
International Shipping (excluding Canada)
You will be contacted via email by Learning Without Tears™ Customer Service with a specific shipping charge quote for your order. Customer is responsible for customs, duties, and taxes.
What if I need my order expedited?
For an additional $10 fee Learning Without Tears can expedite the processing of your order. Expedited processing ensures that your order will be processed and shipped the same day or next business day depending on when your order is placed. In order to expedite processing we must receive your order with the request to expedite and approval of the $10 fee (see below for ways to confirm your approval) no later than 12:00 p.m. EST. If you request expedited processing on an order received after 12:00 p.m. EST, your order will be processed and shipped the next business day. Delivery time for expedited order processing is 3–5 business days.
Customers can submit their request for expedited shipping and approval of the additional $10 fee one of the following ways:
- Clearly note the request to expedite and the approval of the $10 fee in the order documents you provide.
- Contact customer service at 888.983.8409 to verbally confirm request.
- Send an email to customerservice@LWTears.com to request expedited processing; email should include written note authorizing the additional $10 fee.
- For online orders, include a written comment on the order authorizing the additional $10 fee for expedited processing.
International customers: Please note that we cannot guarantee an earlier delivery date with expedited processing due to the time needed for the shipped items to clear customs varies.
I want to ship my order to multiple destinations. May I do this?
You are not able to submit an online order that will ship to multiple destinations. You may either enter a separate online order for each shipping address, or you may submit a purchase order via fax at 301.263.2707 or email. You may also submit your purchase order showing the items to ship to each address.
How long will my order take to get here?
Business days do not include weekends or holidays.
- US and US Territories: 7–10 business days
- APO/FPO: Up to 15 business days
- Canada: 7–10 business days
- Other International: Approximately 15 business days
Returns and Exchanges
What if I need to return or exchange an item?
Learning Without Tears™ will accept returns within three months of the customer’s order date. All returned items must be in unused, saleable condition. Each return must include:
- A copy of the packing slip or the returns processing form with the marked item(s) and quantity being returned
- Reason for return (damage, wrong item, duplicate, other)
- Your request for an account credit, refund, or exchange

Learning Without Tears will grant refunds on digital products within the first three months of the customer's order date for products that have not been activated. To start the refund process, please contact Customer Service at 888.983.8409 or email customerservice@LWTears.com.
You will receive a full refund for each item returned in unused, saleable condition. You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of receipt of your return.
If you are returning products for an exchange, please keep in mind that the entire exchange process can take up to two weeks. It generally takes about 5–6 business days for the return to reach our warehouse, then another 5–6 business days for the new shipment to reach you.
